Proje Konusu | 2011-1-TR1-LEO02-25609 Nolu Proje: LLP/LEONARDO DA VINCI European Programme- Avrupa Birliği Eğitim ve Gençlik Programları Merkezi Başkanlığı – Hayatboyu Öğrenme – Leonardo da Vinci Programı – Hareketlilik (PLM) ProjesiGMOs (Genetically Modified Organisms) detection, identification and quantification in seed and feed were carried out. By applying the methods based on DNA and PCR, the knowledge on the Real-time PCR analysis was gained. During the course program participant had information on GMO analysis, sample preparation methods (grinding, homogenization), DNA extraction procedures, DNA quality and quantity measurement with NanoDdrop equipment, application of Real-time PCR and evaluation and interpretation of PCR results. Additionally, the experimental works were performed for the identification of bacteria and yeast. In order to identify the bacteria and yeast, classical PCR and agarose gel electrophoresis methods were used. The theoretical works based on Real-time PCR were performed for the estimation of limit of detection (LOD) and quantitation (LOQ) in GMO analysis. Various documents and articles related to GMO analysis were investigated, discussed. Weekly discussion with the supervisor covering all aspects of GMO analysis was carried out. The obtained knowledge, skills and competences from the course program will be useful in her academic career and professional life. |
