| Media has a vital role in informing, entertaining and creating a public opinion. Accordingly, a significant number of films have been made on the media industry in cinema. In this study, representation forms of the media industry produced through cinema are examined from a historical perspective. This study reveals the ways in which the media industry is portrayed through the films produced in various countries. As a result of the study, it has been observed that the films on the media contain different perspectives. In addition to films that convey the message that the media is a fourth force that contributes to the solution of social problems, there have also been productions that emphasize that media is the voice of the powerful and magnifies social injustice. In addition, there have been a significant number of films that focus on individual stories with a different main focus, even though they include the media sector in their narratives. |
